About Us

The Affordable Innsitter Team

All innkeepers need time for rest, relaxation, and pampering that they provide to guests of their own. Our goal is to give affordable, dependable and gracious service your visitors deserve and expect. Whether you need someone for a weekend or a month or more, we can step in and keep your B&B or inn running smoothly. We are committed to serving your guests with extraordinary hospitality and warmth to keep them returning.

Louise began her career in the inn and b&b industry with the purchase of a 7 room country inn located in Southern Vermont.   Her decision to transition from the administrative side of health care to pursue a lifestyle that would capitalize on her desire to join the hospitality business would allow her to utilize her love of cooking, baking and meeting people.  Her knowledge of the travel industry and computer skills enabled her to take a sleepy inn with no internet access or marketing in place and bring it alive again.  She helped create a website that allowed an on line tour and utilized a full on line reservation system, Guest Tracker, which was compatible with WorldRes, Webervations and Inntopia.  At her own inn a full country breakfast was served along with daily baked goods as well as an option for a 4-course dinner.  Intimate weddings, civil unions and other special occasion gatherings were also accommodated.  A desire to spend more time with her 4 grandchildren and family at her home on the Oregon Coast, she has made the move to innsitting vs. inn ownership. Louise’s knowledge and experience of owning an inn will bring knowledge in all aspects of operating your inn to insure your guests will have an enjoyable and comfortable stay and they will be properly cared for in your absence.

Skip, Louise’s husband, a former health care executive assists with his knowledge of marketing and financial management and is helpful with those daily maintenance issues.  His love of cooking compliments her abilities and he also enjoys meeting and conversing with the guests during their visit.

Training and Consulting Services:

Due to the individual needs of clients, please inquire. Fees vary, starting at $1500.00.

Rates can be customized over and above the basic fee, specific to your needs. Please contact us with additional questions or for more information.

Basic Fee Includes:

Dinner Service:

Available for an additional fee.   We are available for preparation of and service of dinner - fees negotiable based on number of guests.

Housekeeping Option:

For innkeepers who have no outside housekeeping staff, or may require occasional housekeeping during staff days off, we offer full housekeeping services.

Each B&B or Inn requires different responsibilities with each innsitting assignment. The above information is an example of our basic fee schedule, which is a guide for an estimate of services. After a more detailed assessment of your needs and the number of rooms, we can quote a firm rate.

Long Term rates are available upon request (over 30 days)

DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION POLICY:

A 50% deposit will be required to hold your reservation. The deposit will need to be received within 14 days of receipt of your contract, or the dates will not be held. Should you find it necessary to cancel, we require a 30 day notice in writing. Cancellations within the 30 days will not be refunded, if we rebook, the deposit will be refunded in full.
